Wool has often been called nature’s masterpiece. It has been used to protect from the cold since the time of the shepherds. Wool’s excellent insulating qualities helped shepherds to stay warm in any weather. As our living conditions have improved, many products made of synthetic materials have been developed alongside wool, but none of them have been able to substitute wool. Today, wool has again become extremely popular – and no wonder, since the properties of this natural product are unparalleled. Wool’s curly fibers function as insulation against both cold air and moisture, and the elastic fibers are well-suited as material for various garments.
Wool repels dirt, so it is usually easy to clean. When well cared for, wool products are long-lasting and durable. By cleaning your garment in accordance with a few basic guidelines, you will keep it in good condition for a long time.
Wool garments should be stored loosely folded, not on hangers. Regular airing prolongs washing intervals.
Wool garments are recommended to be washed by hand in approximately 30 °C, but if your washing machine has a washing cycle for wool garments, you may also wash the garment in the machine. However, carefully check the suitability of the washing machine and cycle!
